(TSX VENTURE:SBW) is pleased to report results from a recent exploration program on its wholly owned Shovelnose gold property in southwestern British Columbia. The mineral claims are located near the southern end of the Spences Bridge gold belt, approximately 175 km east of Vancouver and 30 km south of Merritt along the Coquihalla Highway. Exploration activities included approximately 350 m of mechanized trenching in 14 trenches intended to further evaluate the Mik and Line 6 gold showings. Gold mineralization occurs within massive to colloform banded quartz veins and local vein breccia zones, hosted within moderately to strongly altered felsic volcanic rocks.

The current drilling campaign aims to confirm the historical resources of the Kipawa deposit and to increase resources by drilling the central portion which has seen very little work along its 620 metre length separating the East and West zones, zones that were the focus of the historical resources. - Work on the Timmins Mine shaft 650 Level commenced during the third quarter and involved development on the 650 Level, diamond drilling, chip and muck sampling of development faces and geologic mapping. Results from diamond drilling, sampling, mapping and development are still ongoing, but suggest that the overall trend for grades and widths of the mineralization in this area is similar to those predicted by the Resource and Reserve model that supports the most recent National Instrument (“NI”) 43-101 Report.

Nine drill holes totaling 1,331 metres of reconnaissance drilling were completed in three target areas on the company’s 100% owned Sarfartoq license. Three holes (355m) were completed on the ST40 target, four holes (573m) on the ST1 target and two holes (402m) on the ST19 target. All three target areas underwent surface exploration earlier in the year and yielded significant REE results (refer to press releases dated August 11, 2009 and September 17, 2009).
