Orion Announces Appointment to Board of Directors

CALGARY, ALBERTA–(Marketwire – Jan. 7, 2010) – Kent Jespersen, Chairman of Orion Oil & Gas Corporation (“Orion” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that Mr. Roger Thomas has agreed to join Orion’s Board of Directors. Mr. Thomas has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including a 29 year career with Nexen Inc. where he most recently served as Executive Vice President, North America from November 2007 until his retirement in June 2009. Mr. Thomas, a resident of Calgary, Alberta, attended both the University of Toronto and York University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics/History. He is also a graduate of the Executive Program at the University of Michigan and is an honourary member of APEGGA.
